Flocculation and Precipitation
Flocculation and Precipitation
Components dissolved in water can be transferred into solid flocks by adding flocculation agents and flocculants. Above all heavy metals can be removed by this process step. Beside the flocculation and precipitation processes organic pollutants are to be eliminated by co-precipitation and adsorption processes. Following the precipitation and flocculation stage a sedimentation or also a filtration is necessary.

Sludge Dewatering
The sludge, produced by the precipitation and flocculation processes has to be treated due to its high water content. BAUER Environment Group offers chamber filter-presses and wilt presses for the reduction of the sludge volume. Thus, disposal costs for the sludge can be reduced.
