On Site and In Situ Remediation
 

In contrast to off-site measures, on-site and in-situ measures require no or only local transportation of contaminated material. Reduced transportation expenses, saving of disposal costs and reduced soil quantities needed for backfilling result in a substantial decrease of overall remediation costs.

Biological on-site treatment involves the stimulation of biodegradation in biopiles or bioreactors on the contaminated site. The stimulation of the microbial activity is achieved by aeration and addition of nutrients. After treatment, the cleaned material can be re-used for backfilling the site.

BAUER Environment Group disposes of special equipment for on-site treatment.
