Replacement Borings
In case that special safety precautions are to be taken or the excavation is in close proximity to adjoining buildings, conventional excavation methods cannot be applied. Then, BAUER Environment Group uses replacement borings instead to excavate the contaminated material.
Large-diameter drilling rigs perform overlapping replacement borings of up to 1.8 m in diameter. Subsequently, the excavated material is collected for disposal and the borehole is filled with non-polluted material.

To ensure the efficiency and quality of replacement borings BAUER Environment Group uses a particular tachymeter survey system developed by BAUER Spezialtiefbau. This system permits the precise monitoring of the remediation progress in a three-dimensional way thus contributing to a higher efficiency of the excavation works.
