Mixed-In-Place

The term mixed-in-place describes the process of mixing the existing soil and a binder slurry in situ. In doing so, structural and sealing construction elements like cut-off walls are produced. Besides, the MIP technique is applied to immobilise contaminants in situ – thus avoiding extra excavation works.

The mixed-in-place technique was patented by BAUER Spezialtiefbau in 1992. For landfill capping as well as soil remediation it represents the ideal technique.
