Off-Gas / Soil Vapour Treatment

Contaminated off-gas and soil vapour which has to be treated is collected during stripping processes, soil vapour extraction and Dual-Phase-Extraction. Several processes can be applied for gas treatment. BAUER Environment Group offers state-of-the-art technique. We utilise Catalytic Oxidation, Solvent Recovery or Vapour Phase Activated Carbon for gas treatment.

Solvents Recovery

Depending on the contaminant and its concentration solvent recovery is a possible option for gas treatment. The gas is led through activated carbon filters. Loaded activated carbon is afterwards treated with steam to desorb the adsorbed contaminants. The solvents are recovered by condensation of the steam-contaminant mixture. Cleaned activated carbon can be reused.

Vapour Phase Activated Carbon

BAUER Environment Group develops and offers various vessels filled with vapour activated carbon or active coke. Thus organic contaminants like BTEX, halogenated VOC and/or Dioxins can be treated. Additionally, we offer special solutions with impregnated activated carbon. BAUER Environment Group plants are capable of gas flows up to 30,000 m³/h. Utilisation of impregnated activated carbon allows for example the removal of sulphur compounds.
